Rural Health

Irish Institute of Rural Health Ltd

The Irish Institute of Rural Health was incorporated by Dr Jerry Cowley, Mulranny in December 1996 and aims to encourage good health and standards of practice in rural Ireland and to promote research.

St Brendan's Village Project, Mulranny

A low support sheltered housing development giving all our citizens, no matter how old or disabled, the opportunity to live locally with the minimum of support in the bosom of their own community with the security of electronic alarms and Caretakers. St Brendan's Village provides the support to the person as it is needed, so allowing people to live to their maximum capacity. It is truly a continuum of care, extending from support at home with our day centre, to low support sheltered housing and later to high support sheltered housing.

The 'Safe-Home' Programme - Repatriation for Irish Emigrants

Offering a housing option to all Irish Emigrants who wish to return home to Ireland again, and who may lack the resources or 'know-how' to see it through
